PADresearch.org is the website of Dr Chris Seenan, Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy at the University of Stirling. This site shares information about peripheral artery disease (PAD) and our ongoing research into how to improve care for people living with this condition.
Peripheral artery disease affects more than three million people in the UK. Supervised exercise therapy is the evidence-based, recommended first-line treatment, yet it remains unavailable to most people who need it. Our research focuses on understanding why this gap exists, and on developing the systems, services, and workforce needed to close it.
